Are You a Candidate?

You may be a good candidate for laser vision correction if you:

  • Are 18 or older

  • Have a stable prescription

  • Are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism within treatable ranges

  • Want to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contacts

Your full evaluation determines whether LASIK, PRK, or another laser-based approach is best suited for your eyes..

What Are LASIK & PRK?

Comparison of LASIK and PRK eye surgeries. LASIK involves creating a flap in the cornea and reshaping it, while PRK involves gently removing the surface layer of the cornea and reshaping it.

Two proven treatments. One goal: clearer vision.

LASIK and PRK are the two most trusted laser procedures to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

They both use the same excimer laser to reshape the cornea — the difference is simply where the treatment is placed:

  • LASIK: a thin flap is created, and the laser reshapes the cornea beneath it.

  • PRK: no flap; the surface layer is gently removed, and the laser reshapes the surface.

Both offer excellent long-term results when chosen for the right eyes.
